The Seattle International Foundation operates a Global Program (small grants for local organizations) designed to provide resources to non-profits based in the Puget Sound region with a global reach. The Foundation is interested in development projects in all regions of the developing world. Preference will be given to organizations based in the greater Puget Sound region and organizations based outside of Washington State are not eligible. Please review our our 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 grantee portfolios for more information.
The program is open to 501(c) 3 organizations, or those with fiscal sponsorship, with an annual organizational or project budget of less than $2 million (USD). The program seeks to support organizations launching new projects, or working to establish or expand an international project or program. Organizations may request general operating support or project support, and generally the maximum grant award is $15,000 (USD). There are two rounds annually for this program.

As of May 4, 2012, The Seattle International Foundation is no longer accepting applications under the Global Program.
Grant recipients will be announced in early summer 2012. The second round of the Global Program will open in late summer/early fall 2012.

Past Grantees: Please keep in mind that future requests for funding are not eligible until SIF staff have received a final narrative report, financial statement, current IRS 990 form, and photos documenting the project funded. All final reports are due within three months of the project concluding, or within one year of the grant, allowing time for review by SIF staff prior to the next funding cycle.
