SEATTLE INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS AND OPERATIONS
Seattle, WA - We are pleased to announce that Max Savishinsky will be joining Seattle International Foundation as Director of Programs and Operations on July 1, 2016.
“Max brings to SIF a deep and diverse background in international program development, leadership, and operations, with specific expertise in Latin America, and we are delighted to have him join us,” said Mauricio Vivero, CEO of Seattle International Foundation. His experience includes serving as Program Officer during the early days of Global Partnerships, where he managed microfinance and technology-based job training grants in Central America and Brazil. He later served as Assistant Director for Latin American Studies, and then as Director of International Exploration Seminars at the University of Washington. More recently, he spent five years as Program Director and Director of Operations for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), managing a large portfolio of academic, training, professional development, and service programs delivered through 14 academic centers in ten countries across the region. Max has also worked as a strategic technology consultant, web designer, and more recently as Director of Curriculum Planning at the University of Washington.
Max holds Masters degrees in Public Administration and International Studies, and a Doctorate in International Higher Education Leadership & Policy from the University of Washington. He speaks Spanish and Portuguese, and has lived, worked and traveled in over 40 countries on 6 continents. Max is a native of New York, and has lived in the Northwest for 20 years.
