Seattle International Foundation announces
2015 Central America Donor’s Forum
Annual forum to be held for the first time in Central America
(SEATTLE, WA) The Seattle International Foundation today announced that El Salvador will host its annual Central America Donor’s forum in San Salvador on November 18 and 19. The 2015 forum will mark the first time the annual event is held in Central America, according to Seattle International Foundation CEO Mauricio Vivero.
“The Central America Donors Forum has become a vital place for interested stakeholders to convene and have a direct exchange, both about the challenges facing Central America and about successful models for addressing these challenges. We’re very excited this year to hold the forum in Central America for the very first time,” said Vivero.
For the past three years, the Central America Donors Forum has brought together donors and development experts from the public, private and philanthropic sectors to learn more about issues of co-responsibility, connect with regional leaders, and identify opportunities for co-investment in the region.
Those interested in participating in the forum are encouraged to submit an inquiry here.
The Central America Donors Forum has received support from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Global Impact, Hanes, Inter-American Development Bank, Microsoft Corporation, Summit Foundation, USAID and many other donors working in Central America.
The Seattle International Foundation, under the leadership of Board Chairs and founders Bill and Paula Clapp, funds innovative programs to alleviate poverty in Central America, and builds partnerships to advocate for more collaboration among donors throughout the region.
